Duty to provide information on imports and exports carried goods between the Polish and other European Union countries rests on those entrepreneurs who have achieved certain pre-determined for the reference year (calendar year) and announced in a Council of Ministers on statistical surveys of official statistics, the value of this turnover .

These values ​​are called. statistical thresholds. The statistical thresholds are set separately for imports and exports separately for goods. They are published in a timely manner so that each entity to determine whether and to what extent is subject to the submission of INTRASTAT.

The first group is called the threshold. Basic thresholds (former assimilation thresholds). Are the specific value of annual trade turnover set separately for import and export transactions. The person to whom the value of imports or exports within the Community in a given year exceeds the threshold established for an appropriate base, will be required to provide information about those turnovers.
